Day 20| LThMath Advent Calendar

We are in the last couple of days and I have to mention at least one activity that can be used at school. I am working until 22nd and this is a great resource for my last 2 days. So, we have a fun Christmas relay by Chris Smith.

School Use

Chris' advice:

- I get relays printed in sets + laminated.

- Pupils work in pairs, run out to my desk, get Q1, attempt to solve it + use a whiteboard pen to write the answer on the card.

- They bring the answer to me. If it’s right, they get Q2. If not I might give them another shot.

- repeat!

They’re mainly number puzzles. Seasonal ones are perfect for keeping kids busy at the end of term.

Use at Home

I think these question can work so nice for a treasure hunt. If they asnwer a question they get a hint for where the 2nd question is hidden. You could try this one until Christmas day when they find the actual present. You can chose which questions you want to use if you prefer to do a short one.

In addition, you could try to do a little competition between brothers/sisters or between children and parents (with grandparents as judges). I am sure it can transform into a great activity for an afternoon before Christmas.

Here are just a couple of questi

ons you can get from the document:

You can get the document of TES.
